The Demon Hybrid would find his attacks extremely successful, as the creature known as a Frost Arcorn fell to the ground in pieces, a gasp escaping the creature. Now all that was left of what stood before Takeda was a pile of rocks, and his path ahead.

The way gave off an eerie glow, which was puzzling, because the entrance was far from this part of the cave. The sword must be close.

The cave walls remain consistant in size, about six feet wide, or long enough for two people to walk comfortably. There was no sign of any further life, now that the Frost Arcorn had been vanquished, and the sheer cold could finally be noticed; now that the heat of battle had subsided.

Now Takeda was left with nothing in his way, only left to push foward in his quest.

May your sins be absolved in death... With the rumble of rocks cast down from Frost Acorn's body, he decided to press forward. The illumination that began to present itself with his path unhinged posed contradiction to his minor knowledge regarding caves; this blade must have quite the design or enchantments to radiate such light. "Hm, it's close..." And deeper into the unknown Takeda delved...

As Takeda pressed forward, in the distance appeared some sort of atlar. Nothing can be made out from this distance, although the structure is merely twenty feet ahead. There is a dense fog that fills the room, making it hard to see anything.

There seems to be only a short ways to go, Takeda is almost at his journeys end...

Without hesitation, he continued forward. It would not do well for him to be caught off guard in the event there was some final test, guardian, or rite of passage yet triumphed over as the fog obscured his vision. It did not take long for him to reach the altar...where he hoped to retrieve the blade and continue through the world as the Grim Reaper...

As soon as Takeda approached the altar, the ground began to crumble beneath him. Was it the age of the cave? Or simply another test, as Takeda had originally thought?

Rational aside, the fact remained that the ground had collapsed, and now left Takeda with few options left. Would he attempt to grab onto the side of the hole, and pull himself up? Would he attempt to land safely, or would he improvise?

With his journey so close to completion, Takeda would not fail simply because the ground would not support him. The instant that it gave way, he used the last bit of stability provided beneath him to jump upward. This allowed him use of a mid air shunpo, albeit, it was a bit less in accuracy then when he was standing on the ground, but nonetheless, it should give him a clear enough shot towards the altar unless another obstacle presented itself.

Luckily this was enough, and Takeda did, indeed, reach the altar. There lay a red bladed sword, with Japanese Kanji etched onto the lower portion of the blade, which read "Tears of Akatosh".

Then a voice came from the cavern, almost emanating from the walls, themselves; Good job, traveler. Now, take your prize, and your next journey shall begin...

Mission completed. The okami-hanyou would press towards the altar, his hand wrapping around the hilt of the blade without a moment's hesitation. He inspected the weapon, cherishing it as he started to feel an attachment of sorts to the blade. This was his tool; now he would move forward as the Reaper of Souls in this unusual world... "Show me the true path..."

"Well done, Takeda" said the familiar voice, when Takeda suddenly realized that both he and Memnoch were back in the white walled room that Memnoch had first revealed the truth of the world to Takeda. "No you are bonded, permanently, to that blade. Its an unfortunate side effect of coming into contact with the Tears of Akatosh, but well worth the bonuses" Memnoch, in the form of the Ordinary Man, sat in his leather chair, and spoke clearly.

"You will immediately feel different, as I can imagine. That blade grants you the powers of the Grim Reaper; you may appear invisible to mortals, you can travel between this realm and Hell, and, of course, you have the ability to remove the soul of your victims" He sighed, "And you will bring them to me. Your job now...simply to kill. I will place you where you need to be, in order to Reap the individual I deem...ready to leave this realm"

Memnoch began to rise from his chair, "Although, as I said, you are bonded with the Tears of Akatosh. You cannot go freely where you would wish to go; only where my will takes you" Memnoch raised an eyebrow, "And as I said, this is for eternity. Or, until I deem your service has been served. Oh, and as for your mortality...you can die, so please don't do anything too crazy. At the moment of your death, your body will be relocated to my Kingdom, at which time you will return to Astrom, and resume your duties" Memnoch paused for a moment, he knew this was a lot of information to absorb, and he wanted to give Takeda a moment to let it all sink in.
